The location was excellent, with easy access to skiing and public transportation. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We also enjoyed the traditional Japanese cuisine, especially the private onsen experience.
The food options were limited, with little variety in the meals offered. there was no Western-style breakfast or coffee provided, which was a bit of a challenge for those not accustomed to Japanese cuisine.

Great cultural experience, comfortable rooms, excellent staff, convenient ski services, enjoyable onsen experience.
Can't fault anything about it.

The location is ideal, as it is right next to both the bus station and the lifts. the hotel offers discounts on lift tickets and even refunds them in case of a blizzard, which is great. Rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable traditional Japanese style beds. the staff is very attentive and helpful, offering recommendations and services such as mailing postcards or luggage. the breakfast and dinner are varied and delicious with generous portions.
It is important to keep in mind the limited dining options in the area, as there are few restaurants open during the summer months.

The location is perfect, you can ski on and off from the hotel. It's also right next to the main bus station, making it easy to get around. the staff is amazing, always helpful and friendly. We particularly liked the hot springs, both indoor and outdoor, and the private ones were an unexpected bonus!
We found the dinners to be a bit repetitive after a few days and the traditional Japanese breakfast was not quite our cup of tea. It would have been nice to have a wider variety of options.

Everything great.
